OPTIONAL tours and extender programmes

The below information may be useful to any delegates of ISHA 2022 looking to extend their stay beyond the conference dates, or who have accompanying guests with them.

Glasgow City

Glasgow has many attractions for you to enjoy during your time in the city, including high street and independent shops; restaurants, bars and pubs; museums and art galleries; parks and gardens; and music venues. The people of Glasgow are known for their friendliness and hospitality, and the city is very popular for its great variety of cultural venues. For details please, visit: https://peoplemakeglasgow.com/.

City Sightseeing Glasgow Bus Tours

Tickets for the City Sightseeing Glasgow bus tour can be purchased by delegates at the following link and collected from the onsite Information Desk during the conference, or purchased directly from the onsite Information Desk, subject to availability.

Tickets are £16 and valid for 1 day on a hop-on, hop-off basis. It is expected that delegates may wish to take advantage of the bus tour on the afternoon of Saturday 15 October, however accompanying persons may wish to utilise this option at another time. The tickets can be used on any day.

Stop 11 is close to the SEC. Details of the tour route and timings can be found on the City Sightseeing Glasgow website.

TICKETS NO LONGER ABLE TO PRE-PURCHASE; PLEASE VISIT ONSITE INFORMATION DESK

Tours to Other Parts of Scotland

There are a number of places that are accessible from Glasgow within a relatively short travel time, including the Scottish capital city of Edinburgh, Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park, and the historic city of Stirling. VisitScotland provides a useful list of potential day trips and tours from Glasgow, as well as tour operators.

Those staying for longer may wish to take the opportunity to explore further afield. Popular sights can be found in the brief guide below. Again, a list of tour options can be found through VisitScotland. If driving, please note that many places can take longer to get to than the distance would suggest, due to winding/narrow roads. Please also be reminded that in Scotland cars drive on the left.

Bespoke Group Tours

Any groups wishing to organise a bespoke group tour can contact the ISHA Conference Office at info@ishaconference.com, where the team will be happy to help where possible.
