Keynote Lectures

A number of prominent hip experts and accomplished external figures will be sharing keynote lectures as part of the plenary sessions during ISHA 2023, including the Presidential Guest Speaker (TBA) invited by ISHA President Rodrigo Mardones. Instructional Course Lectures

ICLs represent an essential part of the education offered at ISHA's Annual Scientific Meeting and aim to familiarise attendees with the most recent knowledge and techniques in hip preservation. These engaging ICLs will be structured around the 7 core topics of the Meeting.

Expert Discussion Sessions

Join our panels of renowned experts for in-depth discussion sessions covering a range of key and/or controversial issues in the field of hip preservation surgery and rehabilitation, with the opportunity for audience questions.

 Re-Live Surgery Sessions

A popular element of ISHA's offering is its innovative live surgeries. Witness some of the most prominent hip surgeons performing surgical procedures, with explanation and moderation by specialist faculty in the room.

Free Paper Oral Sessions (Long & Short)

The free paper oral sessions are a fantastic way for surgeons and researchers from all over the world to present their research in hip preservation and rehabilitation on the podium. Abstracts are requested for presentation as part of the long and short free paper oral sessions. Please see the Abstracts tab for more information.

Rapid Fire Free Paper Oral Sessions

The rapid fire free paper sessions represent a new take on the traditional free paper oral sessions and create a dynamic and exciting environment, with the latest research projects being presented within succinct presentations lasting just a few minutes. The Abstracts tab contains more information on how to participate.

Trainee Award Presentations

ISHA welcomes award applications from residents and fellows that have submitted an abstract for a study related to hip preservation. Award finalists will present their research during a dedicated session, before the winners are announced during the Closing Ceremony. Please see the Awards tab for information on how to apply.

Partner Symposia

Partner Societies will be partnering with ISHA to host symposia sessions, each featuring talks and discussions on hot topics and key cases in hip preservation and bringing in the perspectives of their members from around the globe.

Dedicated Physiotherapy Programme

The Physiotherapy Programme has been a special part of the ISHA Annual Scientific Meeting agenda for some years now. This post-conference programme will see physical therapists from all over the world come together to discuss the latest knowledge and experiences in postoperative and nonsurgical treatment of the hip and rehabilitation from sporting injury.  Dedicated "Africa Day" Programme

The pre-conference "Africa Day" programme will aim to create dialogue among physicians, industry representatives and worldwide pioneers in hip preservation as to the challenges and obstacles faced in the hip preservation field on the African continent. All are welcome to attend and share their views. Attendance is free of charge for delegates from Africa, but pre-registration is essential. Delphi Studies

Check out the exhibition space area dedicated to Delphi studies for ideas and inspiration on the great consensus-based work taking place in hip preservation around the world.

EPosters

Electronic posters (ePosters) are another way in which surgeons and researchers can present their research projects and results to a wide audience. Posters will be made available to delegates during the conference on interactive screens. Abstracts are invited for ePoster presentation; please see the Abstracts tab for further information.

New Research Video Presentations

Switching up the traditional presentation format, new research abstracts are also invited for presentation through the medium of video. Delegates will be able to enjoy video presentations through both oral podium slots and ePosters. Please see the Abstracts tab for further information.

Tips & Tricks Videos

To continue to further global expertise in hip preservation and rehabilitation, the ISHA 2023 Annual Scientific Meeting will feature a dedicated Tips & Tricks Video Viewing Area where delegates can learn best practices from their colleagues. Video submissions do not have to be new/unpublished research and can be submitted via the Abstract Submission portal - more information is available on the Abstracts tab.
