Keynote Lectures

A number of prominent hip preservation experts and inspiring external figures will be sharing keynote lectures as part of the plenary sessions during ISHA 2022. Come along to learn from their expertise and draw inspiration from their experience.

Instructional Course Lectures (ICLs)

ICLs represent an essential part of the education offered at ISHA's Annual Scientific Meeting and aim to familiarise attendees with the most recent knowledge and techniques in hip preservation. ISHA is accepting ICL proposals. For more information, see the Instructional Course Lectures (ICLs) tab.

Case Discussion Expert Sessions

Join our panel of renowned experts for in-depth discussion of real-life cases covering a range of key and/or controversial issues in the field of hip preservation surgery and rehabilitation.

Live Surgery Sessions

A popular element of ISHA's offering is its innovative live surgeries. Witness some of the most prominent hip surgeons performing surgical procedures live via video link, with explanation and moderation by expert faculty in the room.

Free Paper Oral Sessions

The free paper oral sessions are a fantastic way for surgeons and researchers from all over the world to present their research in hip preservation on the podium. Abstracts are requested for presentation as part of the free paper oral, rapid fire free paper and JAM free paper sessions. Please see the Abstracts tab for more information.

Rapid Fire Free Paper Sessions

The rapid fire free paper sessions represent a new take on the traditional free paper oral sessions and create a dynamic and exciting environment, with the latest research projects being presented within succinct presentations lasting just a few minutes. The Abstracts tab contains more information on how to participate.

JAM Free Paper Sessions

New for 2022, the JAM free paper sessions will see research papers being presented in an elevator-pitch style of just one minute. Come and find out about the latest research taking place in hip preservation, or take part by submitting your own abstract for consideration. See the Abstracts tab for further details.

Partner Symposia

Partner Societies including ESSKA, SLARD, the Brazilian Hip Society (SBQ) and the British Hip Society (BHS) will be partnering with ISHA to host symposia sessions, each featuring talks and discussions on hot topics and key cases in hip preservation.

Dedicated Physiotherapy Programme

The Physiotherapy Programme has been a special part of the ISHA Annual Scientific Meeting agenda for some years now. The Programme will see physical therapists from all over the world come together to discuss the latest knowledge and experiences in postoperative and nonsurgical treatment of the hip. Modelling & Simulator Skills Workshops

In keeping with the meeting's focus on technology, this year ISHA will be partnering with VirtaMed, PrecisionOS and other technological partners to offer innovative hands-on surgical skills workshops facilitated by virtual reality and augmented reality solutions.

Cadaver Surgical Skills Workshops

Join ISHA, its industry partners and expert faculty for cadaver-based surgical skills workshops at facilities nearby the meeting venue. The focus will be on practical techniques using the latest tools and aids.

Industry Sponsored Spotlight Sessions

On Thursday 13th and Friday 14th 2022, the programme will feature lunchtime spotlight sessions hosted by some of ISHA's industry partners.

Debate Sessions

ISHA prides itself on its spirit of innovation, which includes providing a supportive environment for exploration of the present and future of hip preservation. Join experienced faculty for interactive debate sessions centring on some of the most hotly debated concepts and issues in hip preservation today.

EPosters

Electronic posters (ePosters) are another way in which surgeons and researchers can present their research projects and results to a wide audience. Technical Video Sessions

Another new feature in the ISHA 2022 scientific programme will be technical video sessions, showcasing the latest in hip surgical techniques.
